Iwata horns following the JMLC principle are based on an evolved Iwata geometry with controlled sound dispersion. The form combines elements of the Tractrix and Le Cléac’h profiles, offering a balanced compromise between directivity, homogeneity and a linear frequency response — all at room-friendly dimensions.

The outer contour is deliberately shaped to minimize edge reflections, while the continuous wall profile supports uniform sound propagation into the room. The recommended crossover frequency, depending on the driver and size used, lies in the range of approximately 100 to 20,000 Hz.
