Iwata horns following the JMLC principle are based on an evolved Iwata geometry with deliberately controlled sound dispersion. The shape combines characteristic features of Tractrix and Le Cléac’h profiles, creating a balanced middle ground between precise directivity, uniform dispersion and a linear frequency response — all at compact, room-friendly dimensions.
The outer contour is deliberately shaped to largely avoid edge reflections. At the same time, the smoothly and continuously developing inner profile ensures uniform, low-loss sound propagation into the room. The result is a natural, stable sound image with high detail resolution and convincing spatiality.
