Horn loudspeakers designed according to Jean-Michel Le Cléac’h (JMLC) feature a distinctive contour that extends beyond the rim further backwards. This construction minimizes edge reflections, produces a particularly harmonious dispersion pattern, and delivers a very linear frequency response together with high efficiency across a wide spectrum.

Key JMLC horn properties: optimized contour (an evolution of the exponential profile that minimizes dispersion errors), harmonious off-axis behavior, high efficiency and linearity (often over 100 dB/W/m), wide bandwidth (up to and beyond 20 kHz), and reduced distortion through efficient coupling of the driver to the air.
