Founded by Walter Born in 1978, Art of Sound has been crafting horn loudspeakers for nearly five decades. Walter combines half a century of cabinetmaking expertise with a lifelong passion for high-fidelity audio reproduction.

CNC precision. Wood from tradition.

Modern CNC machines in the woodworking shop let me build cabinets and horns to millimetric tolerances — from local beech wood, carefully selected for grain and acoustic character.

Large-format 3D printing

Thanks to large-format 3D printing I now also offer affordable, fully customizable horns. Any other cut-off frequency or throat diameter for your driver is achievable.
